For this project, I delved into the poetry of the renowned Ukrainian poet Lesya Ukrainka and selected one of her works to reinterpret in clay. Constrained by illness, Ukrainka's only means of sharing her ideas was through her poetry. This piece reflects the enduring spirit of her verse, capturing the essence of a poem marked by fractured lines yet remaining resilient and steadfast. The artwork demonstrates how words can be physically manifested through clay, while also exploring the interplay of light and shadow to create dynamic and evocative forms.
